Hossanna -Benjamin

Yeeeap! So My  good friend   Benjamin , has just dropped his very first single Hossanah!!! An extremely refreshing and uplifting tune!

Benjamin (Full names are Benjamin Megbalewon Oluwambe) is the 5th of 7 children , from Ilaje in Ondo state and a trained pharmacist.

He started singing officially about 5 years ago and started  writing songs about a year later.  Benjamin's greatest influences musically include notable artists  such as Smokie Norful,  Karen Clark Sheard and Kim-Burrell!!  Back home,  he especially recognises the input of T-Sway and Godson Mela who tutored him in his early choir days.

Now  years down the line, Benjamin is out with a sincerely refreshing sound  in Hossannah!

Hossanah is a simple worship song with an instaneous melody that focuses on exalting  God irrespective of any confusion or darkness we might be facing.

Produced by Mind Maestro (Anu Ojo), mastered by Cheqwas, and written few years ago,  Hossanah opens with soothing, reflective instrumentation which sets the tone for his trained vocals to glide on, singing 'Hossannah in the highest' With crisp backup vocals, amazing Instrumentation and clear cut musical techniques ,the song climaxes with the declaration 'Let Our King Be Lifted
High!'

Speaking on the song,  He says he desires that everyone listening would get to the place where neither confusion nor giving up  is an option, regardless of what they are going through.  He remembers vividly, while recording,  the reassurance that no man can take the glory for what God is about to do!

So there you have it Hossanah!!  The sound of freedom. Let our King be Lifted High! Do listen and get faith boosted.

While we enjoy this,  Benjamin promises a follow up single some time next year and an album in 2018! Amazing!

Give You Praise- Chris Agape

Hi there! My name is Chris Agape I am a lover of God, people and music. I’m an indigene of Benue state Nigeria and currently in my penultimate year at the University of Lagos.  For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved singing and music, since I was a kid. I joined my first choir at the age of ten and have been in various groups since then.  I’ve also been writing and composing songs for a while now.

My greatest influences musically are Bethel music (I Love Amanda Cook!), Jesus Culture and Hillsong! Other major players are Marvin Sapp, Nathaniel Bassey and more recently Travis Greene. These guys make music that resonates in my heart.

Music for me is an integral   part of my fellowship with God and a conduit for sharing that with people. Music is the wings upon which we can express our deepest desires and thoughts out to God and also to our world, it’s from this place I love to write my songs and Give You Praise was no different.

Give You Praise is a simple worship song, of the rock genre. It seeks to draw everyone to that place of freedom by bringing forth praise irrespective of our current situations. It aims at bringing you to that point where you can lift your praise relentlessly and experience the Hand of God while doing so.

Produced by Qase Beats, the song opens mildly with soft vocals saying “give you praise with my hands Lifted high unto you’. There’s such a beautiful drop  that lets you reflect on who God is at the verse, from where it gradually builds up in intensity, climaxing at the vamp!

The inspiration for this song came, about 3 years ago, when I was jostling through a lot of pressure academically, financially and from home. I remember while working on some bracelets, I just started singing ‘Give You praise, Give you praise with my hands lifted high unto you”, and few moments later as I repeated the tune, I started singing ‘’ let me praise you now…” And With those words the song was birthed and so was freedom from all the pressure around me.

It is my desire for everyone who listens to this that you find freedom by lifting up your praise! As my pastor puts it, you can never go wrong with praise. Irrespective of the season we find ourselves, the best time to bring forth praise is now, not when things are better or worse. I pray this song will be a tool that helps you experience this freedom , the refreshing that comes when we magnify our God above every other thing.

Let me praise you now, I won’t wait no more, all my heart would shout you’re the one I adore!

Feel   free to contact me through any of the platforms below; I would love to hear from you!

Sincerity.
Truth.
Brokenness.
These are the things
You desire
The things
That bring you delight
A vulnerability
That doesn't expire
Humility
That draws in your light

May the lifting
Of my hands
Be like the evening sacrifice
The words
On my lips
Be the mirror image
Of my heart
The waving
Of my hands
Be the motions
Of my truest desire
The movement
Of my steps
A representation
Of my passion.

To bring you praise
This is all
I seek to do
Not for a reward
Or accolade
Or to be captured
By men
But for the sake
Of your pleasure
The desire
To make you smile
For the renown
Of your glory
For the enthronement
Of the Most High

For in that moment
Do i find
The greatest contentment
There does all
My freedom lie
There is No greater
Calling or purpose
Than to bring you
Praise till I die.

Give you praise
Give you praise
This is all I seek to do.

Give You Praise by Chris Agape , drops on the 30th of August. Watch this space!!
